Workshops

Do you rotate partners in classes? Can I join without a partner?

All of our partner classes use continuous partner rotation, so you are welcome to join without bringing your own partner. Please remember to register for partner classes in advance through our booking system so that we can maintain a good leader/follower balance in the classes. We especially appreciate leaders registering early <3

If you prefer to dance only with your own partner, that is also possible. However, we strongly recommend rotating partners during classes.

Everyone – including full pass holders – must register separately for the classes they wish to attend.

The registration system is used to help us maintain a good leader/follower balance in partner classes, as well as an appropriate number of participants.

Workshop registration takes place in the Registration section of our website. We use the Avoinna24 booking system, which requires a user account.

You can register for classes only after purchasing a full pass or separate workshop tickets.

If a workshop is already full, you can join the waiting list and purchase your ticket only once your spot has been confirmed.

Note! Participants of BachataStart and SalsaStart do not need to book a separate spot in the system.

You can join the waiting list for workshops that have already filled up. You do not need to have an event ticket when signing up for the waiting list — it is enough to purchase your ticket once your workshop spot has been confirmed.

We will invite followers from the waiting list as more leaders sign up.

You can reserve a waiting list spot in the Registration section of our website. We use the Avoinna24 booking system, which requires a user account.

You can also sign up for workshops as a couple, including those where follower spots are already full. Couple registrations can be made by email at info@flama.f

Yes. You can modify your existing registrations in the Avoinna 24 system on the registration page. Your bookings can be found under: My details > My reservations (calendar icon in mobile view).

You can find the level description for each workshop in the booking system under the individual class information.

Yellow level classes are suitable for beginners and those who want to review and strengthen their basic technique.

Green-level classes are intended for dancers who are already familiar with the fundamentals of the style. Participants are generally expected to have at least one year of active dance experience.

Blue level classes are intermediate level. Around two years of active dancing experience is recommended.

Red level classes are advanced and suited for dancers with several years of experience.

Level descriptions are indicative. Factors such as previous dance background and how regularly you train will affect your level. If you are unsure, you can ask your dance teachers or contact us at info@flama.fi.

Flama Salsa Festival is an international event, and the main teaching language is English. Translation may be provided during classes when needed.
